Abstract. This scientific publication presents some of the author’s novel research findings on peculiarities and possibilities of the regional teachers’ professional development and nonspecialists’ retraining system (programmes “Foreign languages”, “Filology”) in the context of the author's theory of cultural self-determination. In the space of continuous professional support of a teacher throughout his pedagogical activity in the context of the modern sociocultural context in general and regional realities, in particular, the programme and methodological support prevails, the basic principles of which provide the systematic professional development of a teacher.
