Abstract. The article presents the experience of realizing the scientifically grounded model of psychological and pedagogical support of gifted children’s
social competence development in conditions of summer intellectual school. The structural components of psychological and pedagogical support of identifying and developing the students\ giftedness in summer school are characterized. In the paper the efficiency of the model is evaluated; the experience of summer intellectual schools in Irkutsk region is described. The author examines the role of summer schools in the intellectual development of gifted adolescents.
