Abstract.

 

The article lists overall competences for students of vocational schools who are taught general history. There is provided a general spectrum of teaching methods aimed to formate historic competence. The author points out that history is taught both at secondary and vocational schools. For effective overall competences in the specified field here is given a list of teaching techniques and methods starting with traditional, heuristic and innovative ones. The author outlines the importance of self-study work for a vocational student to master one's overall competences.
