Abstract. The paper is devoted to questions of learning environment creation at the higher education institution on the basis of adaptive electronic learning resources. The structure of a typical adaptive electronic training resource is presented. The article describes the features of constructing the individual educational programmes for studying engineering subjects, taking into account such student’s abilities as: the dominant type of information perception, the level of residual knowledge on the subjects studied earlier, individual learning goals, and career guidance. The experience of creating adaptive e-learning resources on the basis of Moodle e-learning environment is described. Also the article presents the results of experiments of implementing the adaptive electronic learning resources into educational process. On the basis of the final test results (the special indicators had been used) it was concluded that students of the control group who followed the individual educational trajectory had higher results in mastering the discipline in comparison with students who used the traditional model of studying. The authors say that students who were taught in the format of adaptive e-learning showed the higher level of independence, motivation, involvement and responsible attitude to study.
