Abstract. The article presents the results of the research of the process of senior preschool children physical education in the system of additional education. The author believes that to maintain people’s health, it is necessary to start working on the formation of the healthy lifestyle and increasing the level of physical preparedness from preschool age, during this period the basis for the further development of the individual is laid. In the article the author focuses on the fact that additional education system is an important component, without which it is impossible to solve the problems of physical education of young generation today. As a result of the author's research, it was revealed that children involved in the supplementary education system show higher results in the development of physical qualities and motor skills, in comparison with their peers.
