Abstract. Introduction. The paper deals with the current problem of senior preschool children’s moral qualities development. The modern authors come to conclusion that it is necessary to create conditions for developing the children’s moral qualities in the preschool educational institutions. In the article the results of the analysis of organizational and pedagogical conditions for the developing and demonstrating the preschool children’s moral qualities are presented. Materials and methods. To study the characteristics and level of children’s moral qualities development the authors selected and tried the following diagnostic techniques: “Finish the story” (a modified version by R. M. Kalinina), “Narrative pictures” (G. L. Uruntaeva, Y. L. Afonkina), “Colour the picture” (G. L. Uruntaeva, Y. L. Afonkina), and the questionnaire for teachers and parents. The results of the study showed the insufficient level of preschool children’s moral qualities formation. The conducted research allowed us to analyze the pedagogical conditions, to study the peculiarities and level of moral qualities development of senior preschool children. Discussion and conclusions. For developing the children’s moral qualities in preschool educational institutions it is necessary to implement the child-centered approach into the educational process as well as to show the teachers special educational activities aimed at the developing the preschool children’s moral qualities.
