Abstract. The need to organize social-pedagogical support for a large family is determined by the failure to perform its functions such as parenting, socialization, ensuring emotional security and safety of adolescents. The relevance of the paper is due to the lack of scientific research on the organization of the socio-pedagogical support for a large family as a means of preventing deviant behavior of adolescents. The paper aims to identify the propensities to deviating behavior in adolescents from large families and to develop appropriate recommendations for their prevention through the organization of social and pedagogical support for the family. Based on the fundamental bases for solving the problem in question, which is reflected in the works by E. F. Achildieva, L. A. Sokolova, A. V. Orlova et al. in the field of socialization, and on individual principles of the socio-pedagogical support of the family, which are presented in the works by G. Kuragina, L. Ya. Olivenko, the authors specified the concept of “social-pedagogical support” and investigated the socialization problems of the adolescent in large families. The paper presents the results of an empirical study on the propensity to deviant behavior in adolescents from multi-children families. The findings indicate that the adolescents brought up in large families have a pronounced propensity to deviant behavior, which can be prevented through the implementation of a specially developed program of socialpedagogical support aimed at the organization of individual and system-oriented support of a multi-children family raising an adolescent; and the organization of advisory support of parents, teachers, and class teachers. The paper shows that the organization of the social-pedagogical support of such families plays a key role in the prevention of behavioral disorders in children. The obtained results allowed developing practical recommendations on the organization of social and pedagogical support for adolescents from large families. The paper is intended for psychologists, social educators, employees of institutions for the prevention of deviant behavior, class teachers, and teachers.
