Abstract. Introduction. This paper is concerned with a study on the issue of the motivation of professional-pedagogical activity, the specifi c features, and conditions for the enhancement of faculty’s motivation at higher educational institutions. The study also examines the factors that affect the effi ciency of this process.

Materials and methods. An analysis of the professiogram identifi ed the fundamental motives that determine the effi ciency of the professional activity of teachers at a higher educational institution. Discussion and conclusions. The fi ndings prove that the performance of faculty depends on certain conditions for and factors of educational process organization and various types of incentives.

Conclusion. The fi ndings of the research indicate a trend to the interdependence and interaction of individual components of the creative potential. They open up new opportunities for research in the fi eld of pedagogical creativity which should be developed to achieve the aims and follow the trends of the modern school.
