Abstract. Introduction. The paper reveals the concept of “corporate competence” as the main component of professional competence and as part of the corporate culture of members of psychological, medical, and pedagogical commissions (hereinafter referred to as PMPC), who work in a single team of various specialists (psychologists, doctors, teachers) and carry out professional interaction. The study substantiates the structure of corporate competence and reveals the content of each component. The main theoretical approaches underlying the process of building corporate competence in the PMPC members are considered. Some results of the ascertaining stage of the experiment confirming the relevance of this area of research are presented.
Materials and methods. The research relies on the analytical methods (study and analysis of psychological and pedagogical literature on the research problem, study of the work experience of the PMPC), diagnostic methods (observation of the examination procedure, questioning of PMPC members, analysis of examination documents for a child with special educational needs, conversations with members of psychological, medical, and pedagogical commissions, and parents), and statistical methods (quantitative and qualitative analysis of the obtained results, and data processing).
Research results. The analysis of the special psychological and pedagogical literature on the research problem made it possible to formulate the concept of “corporate competence.” The identified theoretical foundations allowed substantiating the structure and components of corporate competence as the main constituent part of the professional competence of PMPC members. The results of a survey of various specialists, members of the PMPC, made it possible to identify the levels of corporate competence and outline further ways to improve it, as well as to develop a methodology for building the corporate competence with the aid of active methods and forms of work with specialists.
Conclusion. In order to avoid possible conflict situations in the course of interaction with various specialists, or when announcing the diagnosis to parents raising a child with special educational needs, it is necessary to scientifically substantiate and develop a methodology for building the corporate competence on the basis of active forms and methods of interaction aimed at improving the professional competence (with the corporate competence as its component) in the PMPC members. The corporate competence building process itself needs appropriate scientific and methodological support that contributes to the effective development of all components of corporate competence: motivational, cognitive, activity-based, communicative, value-ethical, and reflective, which will positively influence the final result of the complex work of PMPC specialists.
