Abstract. Introduction. The development of various aspects of the base culture of primary school students is a global goal of primary education. In this context, the skills of safe and responsible behavior towards one’s own life are considered a crucial objective and the basis for a child’s vital interests.

The study aims to create and consider pedagogical conditions for building safe behavior skills.

Methodology and organization of research. Given the readiness of children for safe behavior, the action-oriented game sets were selected and developed to build the basic safe behavior skills, with the effectiveness of these games tested experimentally. The methods employed to do these tests are the Correction test (to determine the level of attention development in schoolchildren) and the Schulte Tables method (to determine the speed of visual roughly-search movements in the first graders). Coordination ability level was assessed through the testing of shuttle running 3X10 m (s), static balance (s), and the ability to differentiate muscle efforts, i.e., to hit the target (the number of hits in 5 attempts to hit vertical targets and 5 attempts to hit horizontal targets).

The study results have proved that specially selected action-oriented games enhance the culture of safe behavior of junior schoolchildren.
